Avery Elle AEI♥U January Challenge

This month's challenge at Avery Elle is a photo inspiration.
Here's the photo that caught my eye--because of the umbrella.

And here's my card.

I used the pennants from Avery Elle's To the Point and stamped
some pieces of My Mind's Eye Love Me papers.

My hubby thought it looked a little too somber with the grays
so I tried to make it cheerier with some ink splatters.
Did I succeed?

You have until Sunday, February 3rd to link up your cards
over at Avery Elle.
Thanks so much for stopping by today!

CAS(E) this Sketch #12

The current sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch is this one by Lisa Arana:

Here's my card using stamps from Purple Onion Designs.

I LOVE Faith the Chicken! She's my favorite chickie.
I colored her with Copics and added a few white dots with a pigment pen.
The sentiment is from the Love You to Stitches set
and the background is Hero Arts' Woodgrain.
I used a scrap of patterned paper to ground Faith and
managed to squeeze this card into my envelope to Winter for her card drive.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you're off to a great week.

Clean and Simple 2 Giveaway Winner!

Thank you to all of you who left a comment to win a spot in Online Card Classes
Clean and Simple Card Making 2 and today I'd like to announce the lucky winner.

Random.org helped me pick ISHA GUPTA as the winner!

Congratulations, Isha! I have given Jennifer your name and info and
she'll get you ready for class which starts on Monday, January 28.

Here's a clean and simple card I made with the new Tall Flowers
stamp from Hero Arts. It's a first for me to stamp an image
entirely in green, but I think it worked!
The flowers and leaves were colored with Copics and
I tied off the card with some sheer ribbon and a simple sentiment on a tag.

I'm sorry that there could only be one winner, but there's still time
to register for this session and you won't want to miss it!
I am so excited for class to begin, and I can't wait to share my cards.
Go here for all the details and Isha and I hope to see you in class!

Happy Mail for Grayson Card Drive

Danielle Walls from Neat and Tangled is having a card drive for a high school friend's
2-year old son named Grayson who has a tumor on his brain stem.
His mom, Jackie, has a blog she updates regularly, where you can visit
and learn more about this spunky little guy.

Danielle wants to light up Grayson's life with some serious happy mail!
She spoke with Jackie and was told that Grayson loves to receive mail
and thus, the Happy Mail for Grayson Card Drive was born.

Grayson has a big brother named Aydan who I'm sure would love to receive
some mail, too. Speaking from personal experience, seeing your child go through
chemotherapy is difficult, and receiving happy mail
will certainly bring smiles to the whole family.

The card drive will run from now through February 28, 2013.
Danielle will happily accept cards from international addresses, too!

Please send your cards to:

Grayson Savery and/or Aydan Savery
c/o Danielle Walls
P.O. Box 5808
Wilmington, DE 19808

Here's a card for Grayson that I made using the new Cuteasaurus set from
Paper Smooches. What little boy doesn't love dinosaurs?

Let's flood Danielle's mailbox with lots of cards for Grayson and Aydan
and bring some huge smiles to the Savery family.
