MFT March Release Countdown--Day 1

Are you ready? It's one more sleep until My Favorite Things March Release!
All new goodies will be available for purchase on Tuesday, March 1st at 10PM EST.

Personally, I think that you can never have enough ways to say "Thanks", and today
I'm sharing a new sentiment set--Kind Thanks, and Twice the Thanks Die-namics
that can help you express your gratitude in so many ways.

On my first card, I cut a panel of the new Thick & Think Paper Pack with the rectangle
element from Blueprints 24 and adhered it in landscape format on a card base. The two part
sentiment was stamped with Black Licorice ink, using the stripes as a guide. Flowers and
leaves from Beautiful Blooms were stamped and die cut then adhered next to the sentiment.

On my second card, I used the camouflage technique shared by the uber talented
Laurafadora. Basically, you die cut the sentiment into your card, then stack several
die cut sentiments and pop them back in the negative space. If this sounds clear as mud,
check out Laura's video here, for her step-by-step tutorial.

The camouflage technique can be done over printed paper, an all over stamped
background, or masked inking as I've done here. And check out that fun sentiment
beneath the inlaid diecut. Know anyone you could send this to? (Wink!)

MFT March Release Countdown--Day 2

It's two days before My Favorite Things March Release!

Are your wish lists growing? What's caught your eye so far? All new goodies
arrive in the MFT Store on Tuesday, March 1st at 10pm EST!

Today I'm sharing a couple more new stamp sets to possibly add to your
"want" lists. First up is Get Down to Business--a fun set of office related images
with matching Die-namics, sold separately.

The lined background paper is from the new Off the Grid Paper Pack.
I cut a panel with the rectangle element from Blueprints 24 and adhered it
to a top folding Blu Raspberry card.

The shirt, briefcase, calculator and coffee mug were colored with Copics
and die cut with the matching dies and adhered to the panel.
I cut apart two sentiments to form my own and drew in the colon
with a black Multiliner pen.

My second card features Sweet Succulents by Laina Lamb Designs.
I gold embossed one of the cacti and pots and colored them in with watercolors.
When they were dried, I die cut them with the matching Die-namics.

A piece of watercolor card stock was cut with Wonky Stitched Rectangles and
ink distressed with Spearmint Premium Dye ink, and spattered with water.
I popped up the cactus and pot, and added a few small flowers. The card
was finished off with the fun sentiment.

By now you know the drill: Visit today's countdown post at My Favorite Things
to see what the participating designers have to share, and leave a comment there
for your chance to win a $75 gift voucher!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

MFT March Release Countdown--Day 3

It's 3 days before My Favorite Things March Release and today I'm sharing
two cards made with Beautiful Blooms--a set that was introduced to you in
our first Card Kit in January.

The card base was created with paper from the Tranquil Textured Patterned
Paper pad that was cut with the rectangle element from Blueprints 24, and
adhered to a Stone Gray top folding card.

I stamped the flowers and leaves in bright colors of dye inks and die cut them
with the matching Die-namics. After die cutting the vase from watercolor card stock,
I ink distressed it, then assembled the vase and bouquet on the panel. I finished off
the card with the simple sentiment and a sprinkling of Sparkling Clear sequins.

For my second card, I played with the vases and inked them with Distress inks
then spattered them with water. The greenery was inked and sprayed with water
before being stamped, then die cut with the matching dies.

A panel was cut from Cement Gray card stock with the rectangle element
from Blueprints 24, then adhered to a card base. The leaves and vases were
assembled and adhered to the panel, and the sentiment finished off the card.
