MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge #335

Ready for the newest MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge? Here's #335.

And here's my take on the sketch.

A watercolor panel was ink distressed with several colors of Distress inks
and spattered with water. The mermaid was stamped and colored with
Prismacolor pencils, then cut with the matching Die-namics.

Waves were cut with the Ocean Waves Die-namics and assembled over the
ocean. The mermaid was adhered behind the waves and the sentiment was
white embossed beneath them. The card was finished off with clear sequins.

Visit the Card Challenges blog for more inspiration and for all the details
on how you could win a $50 MFT gift voucher! Hope you'll join us!

Color Throwdown Challenge #444

I'm entering Color Throwdown Challenge #444 and cutting it close to
the deadline. Here's the inspiration photo.

When I saw that shade of green only one thing came to mind--matcha!
Here's my card with a matcha frappuccino.

MFT's Cool Cup was ink distressed with several colors of Distress inks and
spattered with water. I spattered some watered down ink over the whipped
cream to resemble matcha powder.

The cup was adhered over patterned paper and the card was finished off with
the white embossed sentiment. In hindsight I should have embossed the sentiment
on plain colored card stock. But I love the stripes...

I'm off to peruse the gallery. Thanks for stopping by!

Inspired by All the Little Things #58--Guest Designer

I'm super excited to be invited by my creative friend Tracey, to guest design
for Inspired by All the Little Things Challenge #58.

This also happens to be my very first time playing along, and I was floored
by the gorgeous inspiration photo:

Here's how I was inspired.

A single butterfly was ink distressed with several colors of Distress inks. Versamark
ink was sponged on the wings and heat embossed with gold embossing powder.

Gold watercolor was spattered on a panel and the butterfly was adhered after
it was dried. A gold embossed sentiment and gold sequins finished off the card.

I'd love for you to visit the Inspired by All the Little Things blog to see my
interview as well as inspiration from the design team. We'd love for you to
play along and see how you're inspired by the photo.

Thanks again, Tracey, for inviting me to join you and the design team
at Inspired by All the Little Things

oval and topped with a star. The card was finished off with the sentiment.
